Covenant Family Service Centre
Started in August 1987, the Covenant Family Service Centre was set up by Paya Lebar Methodist Church
as an outreach project to meet the needs of families in the community in Christian love.
Since then we have been committed to strengthen families and improve their quality of life
through quality and holistic services, regardless of race or religion.

Today, the Covenant Family Service Centre is managed by Methodist Welfare Services
(the outreach and social concerns arm of the Methodist Church in Singapore)
and jointly sponsored by Paya Lebar Methodist Church in the area of finance, resources and volunteers.

We offer the following services:

Counselling Service
Counselling service is aimed at assisting families and individuals improve their interpersonal relationships and to help those who are facing difficulties to cope more effectively.Areas of concerns include
– Child / Youth Management
– Individual /Interpersonal Problems
– Family/Elderly/Violence Issues
– Financial Difficulties
– Marital Issues

Casework Service
Casework is aimed at assisting families with multiple/complex needs in harnessing the resources that they require and managing their coordination to facilitate a match between client needs and service. This include assisting Clients in identifying appropriate services and advocating for a client’s access to and use of service.

Enhanced Information & Referral Service
This service aims to provide individuals and families with information on relevant community resources as well as the most appropriate response and intervention. Referrals are made where specialised forms of assistance are needed but are not provided by the Centre.

Family Development Programme
This programme was established to help low income earners to increase their nett worth through the reduction of debts and the building of assets.

Set up by Paya Lebar Methodist Church in August 1987, the Covenant Family Service Centre is an outreach project that provides services and programmes to meet the needs of the community living in Hougang, regardless of their race or religion. Since then we have been committed to strengthen families and improve their quality of life through a suite of holistic services.

Today, the Covenant Family Service Centre is a joint project of Methodist Welfare Services (the outreach and social concerns arm of the Methodist Church in Singapore) and Paya Lebar Methodist Church.The Centre is a voluntary welfare organisation also funded by Ministry of Social and Family Development and National Council of Social Services.
