Serving In the Community
outreach and social concerns

Jesus said, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and
with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.
There is no commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31

We are a family, blessed to bless others!
Representing God our Father, we give to others in generosity.
Following Jesus, we receive one another in honour and love.

Jesus enjoyed community life. Whether it was with His 12, the 500 or the 5000,
He shared life with them wherever His Father led Him. Yet Jesus always made time for the weak, the defenceless, the poor, the oppressed and the despised. They were his friends and honoured guests at His parties. He was at home with them.

As we move around in the community today, our eyes are opened to see the face of Jesus in the lost, lonely, last and least of society. They are there, both in the big crowd, and in the smallest corner. Jesus calls us His friends when we do what He tells us to do. He says to us:
Truly as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. Matt 25:40

Jesus has called us to bring sozo God’s salvation, healing and redemption to everyone in our community. Whether the Spirit leads us to feed the poor, heal the sick, or fight against injustice, we go with Him to bring wholeness to every person in our community.

Let’s join Jesus in the community! Read more.

PARTNERS

PARTNERS
Are you praying about serving the community? We partner with exemplary VWOs, nonprofits and social enterprises ministering to the poor and disadvantaged within a 5km radius of our church. Sustained opportunities for volunteer services will help us practice outreach less as an event and more as a lifestyle. Relationships with people in the community are given time to grow and lives are truly transformed. In serving the community, we ourselves are also changed.
