The Peranakan Ministry of Paya Lebar Methodist Church had its humble beginnings as a Malay Prayer Service in 1934 by Rev Chew Hock Hin. In 1961, the Peranakan Service began and the Peranakan Fellowship was added on Saturday afternoons. With Christ as Head, we will preserve and cater to the needs of the unique culture of the Peranakans of PLMC.
We aspire to bring the Good News and to be like Mary, be sitting at Jesus’ feet, be doing the one very thing that is needful, and that is to be drawing from Him, to be receiving afresh His grace, love and blessings every day of our life.
We meet at 4.00pm in Jerusalem room for sharing and testimony every Saturday, at 7.30am in the Sanctuary for worship every Sunday and at 9.00am for bible teaching in Indonesian. Other regular activities include a Peranakan Retreat, Fellowship Tea and a Skit cum Christmas Evangelistic Party. Do join us when able!
