CORPORATE PRAYER

May 2025

Pray for Singapore

  • Pray against attempts to fragment our society on racial or religious lines
  • Pray for the government as they navigate the trade war
  • Pray for the people whose jobs are lost threatened or affected by US tariffs

Pray for a high view of marriage family and children

  • Marriage as covenant (not “just a paper/formality”)
  • Male female parental roles to be celebrated
  • Children as a blessing (not a burden)
  • Intergenerational bonds to be strengthened

Pray for Newly Elected Leaders

  • Thank God for sovereignly presiding over the General Elections
  • Pray that leaders will govern with wisdom from on high
  • Pray that they will walk with integrity
  • Pray that they will lead as shepherds
  • Pray that they will lead with courage, knowing right and wrong
  • Pray for Christian MPs to be courageous for the Lord

Christians in Singapore

  • Pray that there will be a spiritual awakening in Singapore that hearts will be filled with love for God and filled with love from God and lives surrendered to Gods purposes
  • Pray that God will be at the centre of all we do studying NS working parenting etc
  • Pray for wisdom to navigate tricky issues e.g. LGBTQ that we may stand our ground in a firm but loving manner
  • Pray for discernment to make godly decisions
  • Pray for courage to act with integrity and remain faithful to God

  • Spiritual transformation as trippers experience God in the mission’s field

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Silver Boxes

  • We thank God for the Youth and Young Adult groups who ministered to the children at Easter, on 20 April. We pray that each one will take home with them, the memory of what Jesus did for them 2000 years ago.
  • Pray for our teaching teams as we reach out to the children in Silver Boxes, to help them honour their mothers and thank them, through the message and crafts.
  • Pray for planning for our upcoming programs in May and June.

Sonshine Kids

  • We thank God for David who drew the animated cartoons for the children, to encounter the love of Christ, and our team who reached out to the children with the gospel on 19 April.
  • Pray for good weather for our Family Outing on 10 May. We also pray for friendships and bonding with one another and the families as we spend the time at the Zoo with them.

DISCIPLESHIP &NURTURE

  • We thank God for 51 candidates, both adults and children,  from the various congregations will be baptised on 4 May 2025. We ask that you keep them in your prayers as they take a step forward in their commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for God to protect their body, soul and spirit as they prepare themselves for the day.
  • We also rejoice with the 47 worshippers who will be received as members of PLMC on 11 May 2025 at the respective services. Pray for them to be well integrated into the life of the church and continue to grow and mature in Christ Jesus.
  • Pray for the participants in the DSICIPLE 1 and 3 courses, and the Christian Believer Course to continue to grow and mature as they study the word of God and the fundamentals of Christian faith.

FILIPINO SERVICE

Praise God for the constant number visitors joining FS.  Pray that they will commit and attend FS regularly.

Missions Prayer List (April 2025)

SOUTHEAST ASIA

BL

  • Pray for pastors trained to mentor fathers will faithfully do so.
  •  Pray for the villagers who were trained in 4-square farming will put their learning into practice.

Sara & Yutaro

  • Pray for Yutaro’s father, complete healing, as he has been unwell for about a year with respiratory issues.
  • Pray for Yutaro’s mother, sustained health and strength, as she takes over the preaching duties of Yutaro’s father.
  • Pray for Sara energy and strength.

PARACHURCH WORKERS

  • Navigator’s Singapore: Roger Yeo & Pearlyn Pang
  • Praise God for the 5 pre-believing friends who joined their Good Friday activities.  Pray for their continued openness and receptiveness to the gospel.
  • Pray for Roger, Pearly, Kevin, Johan, Kristine, and Joel Loh as the meet for Labourer’s Training on 1st May, that they would grow in faith, hope and love as they labour together as partners in the gospel.
  • Pray for Roger’s and Pearlyn’s quarterly workshop event on 17 May, that they will have new connections and friendships to share the gospel.

YWAM Singapore: Nicole Lim

Pray for Nicole:

  • Health: For strength amid the changing weather and full schedule.
  • Studies: Grace and focus as she learns the language and settle in; *Ministry: Open doors and meaningful connections.

YWAM Singapore: Rachel Ong

Pray for Rachel to have:

  • closer intimacy with God through worship and intercession, and
  • God’s strength and wisdom for ministry.

MISSIONS PARTNERS

East Asia: TK

  • Pray for TK and family’s needs – spiritually, financially, physically, academically and God’s protection and guidance.
  • Pray for the campus ministry and Stinters as the five teams prepare for summer ministry programs.

East Asia: Songs

  •  Pray for the Songs wisdom as they recruit new field workers.
  • Pray for the TAN workers’ family’s health and for some of the children to navigate adolescence well and mature spiritually.

East Asia: Mongolia Churches

  • Pray for more workers to serve at the youth ministry.
  • Pray for the churches to grow spiritually and physically.

South Asia: India Churches

  • Pray for the safety of all the workers, pastors, evangelists and staff.
  • Pray for His protection to surround them all as they press on, doing His Kingdom’s work.
  • Pray for God’s provision for all of their needs and support.
  • Pray for the works among the Unreached people groups like the Kond, Kui, Mali, Bhagata, Lohar and Munda tribes. Pray for the establishing of strong local indigenous churches among the UPGs.

South Asia: CCI Bangladesh

  • Pray that believers will stand firm in faith and to serve the Lord faithfully amid persecution.
  • Pray for the safety and security of the Christians and Hindu minority.

Central Asia:

  • The Lord’s protection for C&M, as well as many other foreigners in Aland due to increased incidences of kidnappings for negotiations.
  • Comfort for sister S as her mother had recently suffered a stroke and passed away. May she persevere in her faith.
  • God’s provision for an upcoming soccer camp the boys are organising in Aland during the summer & smooth conference that C&M are organising.

YOUTH MINISTRY

  • Crossover and Youth Camp 2025:
    – The committees for both camps are in the midst of being finalised and planning is starting this month. Pray for united hearts and minds, hearts set on seeking His heart above all else, and for His favour as we embark on this journey.

  • YM Meet the Parents Session 2025:
    – Pray for God’s favour as we meet with the parents of our youths, for deep loving conversations and connections to be had and increased trust and support, that this will be a springboard to deeper parent-youth/leader collaboration and relationships. 

OUTREACH MINISTRY

Outreach Prayer (May 2025)

Dearest friends and co-labourers of God, I greet you in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Please pray along with me:

Dear Heavenly Father, As the season of General Elections has drawn to a close, and we move forward with the elected individuals who will govern us in Singapore, we begin by giving thanks. We thank You, Lord, for those who stepped forward to serve, and for the very opportunity we have to vote.

We commit these leaders into Your hands, and we pray that they would be good leaders, with hearts for the people in their wards. Guide their hearts and hands so that their decisions and actions may be made with integrity and love. We pray that they will truly be a voice in Parliament for the disadvantaged in our society.

As we also mark Mother’s Day this month, we want to lift up the mothers around us in prayer, O Lord. Thank you, Lord, for all the mothers—both biological and spiritual—who have nurtured and guided us. We especially lift up the single mothers in our community and those supported by the Anglican Family Centres. You see their lives, their joys, and their struggles. Dear Lord, may You grant them Your strength and peace. May You bring them comfort in their lives, and help them to weather their storms.
Lord, we pray that You would provide them with a loving and supportive community to journey alongside them. And through these opportunities for fellowship and the faithful work of volunteers, may they see Your love shining through.

Forgive us, Lord, for the times when we have failed to show compassion and love to those around us. As in the parable of the Good Samaritan, forgive us for the times we have acted like the first two men and turned away from those in need.

Father, help us to live this day to the full, being true to You in every way. Open our eyes to see the needs around us, and empower us to fill the gaps in our communities.
Jesus, help us to give ourselves away to others, showing kindness to everyone we meet. May Your life, as revealed in the Bible, be the blueprint for our daily walk.
Holy Spirit, help us to love the lost and to proclaim Christ in all that we do and say. Guide and lead us, so that our thoughts, actions, and words are filled with the love we have so graciously received.

We pray all this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
