Serve with Us

Explore opportunities to serve

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace… – 1 Peter 4:10

The body of Christ is made up of many parts, each working together in partnership with God to establish His Kingdom and share His love wherever He has placed us.

God has blessed each of us uniquely. We welcome you to steward your gifting to serve the church and beyond through our various ministries, so that together, we can live out our calling at PLMC as a family blessed to bless the community and the nations.

“So then faith comes by hearing,

and hearing by the word of God. ” – Romans 10:17

Serving in Children’s Ministry is a privilege where we get to
work alongside God to nurture the growth of our kids. You don’t have to do it alone—we work as one body and one team! Whether you enjoy teaching, playing games, welcoming new families, or simply working behind the scenes, there is a place for you on our team.

As a Children’s Ministry co-worker, you aren’t just
babysitting—you are partnering with God to plant seeds of faith and build up the next generation to shine for Jesus!

The Ministry to Young Adults (YA) seeks to connect young adults with community, discipling them to impact the world for God. We encourage and empower young adults as God’s Kingdom Professionals, entering every sphere of the marketplace to reflect and express God’s will and intent, on earth as it is in heaven.

We connect and grow in faith through gatherings, serving opportunities and intentional intergenerational relationships, including through collaborations with other ministries.

Our hotspots bring together YAs across sectors such as National Service, education, healthcare and finance, providing spaces to share, support and explore what it means to live out our discipleship in the marketplace.

Connect with us via email at youngadults@plmc.org.

“I was sick and you looked after me…” (Matthew 25:36)

Every month, we gather around the Lord’s Table. Some of our church family can’t join us any more. Illness, frailty, or caring for a loved one keeps them at home, in hospital, or in a nursing home. They’re still part of us, and they still long to share in the bread and the cup.

The Homebound Communion Team, which is part of PLMC’s Pastoral Care ministry, takes Holy Communion to these members. On each visit, the living room becomes a sanctuary for a while. We sing a familiar hymn, read Scripture, pray together, and remind each person that they’re remembered, loved, and still belong to the body of Christ.

If you can drive and have a heart for those who cannot come to church because they are elderly or sick, and a willingness to be present for them, do consider joining the teams that bring communion to the homebound once a month.

For more information, reach out to us at pastoralcare@plmc.org.

About Laity Sunday

The Methodist Church in Singapore observes Laity Sunday on the second Sunday in October.

It recognises the work and ministry of lay Christians to love God and our neighbour wherever we are placed, be it in our homes, workplaces, communities, and the church.

PLMC has been blessed with many lay ministries and co-workers who labour alongside to bless the community and the nations, out of love for our Father God. Thank You for your faithful service!

We look forward to serving together with more of you in ministry!
