“Help us to live as those who are prepared to die. And when our days here are accomplished, enable us to die as those who go forth to live, so that living or dying, our life may be in you, and that nothing in life or in death will be able to separate us from your great love in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
This quote is part of a prayer during A Service of Death and Resurrection, found in the United Methodist Hymnal. When our days on earth are done, we want our life to end well. It is an expectation that has followed humanity for centuries. As community of faith, we teach people how to live well. However, we are slow to teach how to die well. This seminar will explore briefly the biblical and theological perspectives on the subject with the hope that we would at least begin to start thinking and preparing for it from the starting point of faith.
