If you’re a movie buff, you might have caught the recent blockbuster movie based on the Greek classic, The Odyssey. The epic chronicled Odysseus’ long journey home after the Trojan War. It was a voyage driven by longing, as were those made by Abraham and Augustine.
In this talk, The Human Longing for Home: Three Journeys Compared, we will explore how these three journeys—rooted in the same fundamental restlessness—expose the limitations of Greek mythology and illuminate what truly satisfies the deeper spiritual hunger of the human person.
Embark on your own journey of discovery at this online talk, organised by the ministry to the Young Adults and the Discipleship & Nurture Ministry.

When was the last time you read the Book of Joshua as devotional material? Due to its seemingly violent themes, this book is avoided by many modern readers who are uncomfortable with how the book portrays God and his people. However, there are many details that are overlooked in Joshua which will certainly surprise you, as well as many archeological findings which have caused us to rethink how Israel came into the Promised Land. The Walls Came Tumblin’ Down will be a literary and archeological journey through Joshua that you will not expect.

Tweens and teens aged 11 to 14 years old and their parents are invited to join Navigate, a special parent-child retreat in November. It will be a time to grow closer, have meaningful conversations and journey through the early teen years together. Participants of past Navigate retreats have shared many breakthroughs and we would like to encourage you to sign up before registration closes on 4 October.
This retreat is organised to encourage parent-child bonding, to have fun and learn together. This event provides a platform to allow parents to support their child aged 11 – 14 years old in their transition into being a teenager.
Topics covered includes self-esteem, sexual identity, self-leadership and social media influence.
We invite you to come and discover how to NAVIGATE through these issues together. Children at this age are in transition and are in search of their identity. This bonding time has a profound impact and it is definitely worth the effort.
