Here at PLMC we want to accompany you as you follow Jesus as a disciple.
A disciple is one who follows Jesus, learns from him, and has a personal relationship with him. Discipleship is a lifelong walk with God (see Enoch’s example), learning from Him, and being formed by Him.
Discipleship concerns the whole person and his whole life. As a disciple, we bring our whole person and our whole life under the influence of the Lord’s Spirit and the authority of His Word.
Discipleship involves having a personal relationship with Jesus and with each other as fellow travelers on the Way of discipleship. It is a continuous cycle of passing on the faith that was entrusted to us by entrusting it to other faithful men and women.
Jesus’ invitation to follow Him was issued to individual persons who must make their own decision and choose to follow Jesus voluntarily. No one beside ourselves can carry our cross and deny ourselves. Discipleship is a personal decision and voluntary choice that cannot be forced on a person by another.
