Session Synopsis:

Parents and caregivers of persons with disabilities or special needs often carry a heavy concern: What will happen to my loved one when I’m no longer around?

This session on Estate Planning for Families with Special Needs is designed to give clarity and practical solutions. Participants will learn:
• Why estate planning is especially critical for families with dependents who have special needs
• Common mistakes families make when it comes to wills, nominations, and property transfers and how to avoid them
• The right tools available, such as wills, trusts, and the Special Needs Trust Company (SNTC), to ensure continuity of care
• Practical first steps to start planning today

The goal is simple: to help families walk away not only with knowledge, but also with the assurance that there are trusted ways forward and that they don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
