The Children’s Ministry seeks to accompany children on their journey to discover Christ and to ground our children in the Word of God. Inspired by the book, Silver Boxes, we hope to be an encouragement and joy to all the children under our care, providing them a space to grow, learn and dwell in the presence of the Lord.
Not only do we give away silver boxes to encourage others, but our children and committed leaders are also silver boxes for the Lord.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing” – 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Shiny Tots is a ministry initiated by the Silver Boxes of Paya Lebar Methodist Church. Toddlers and their parents can come together for a time of sing-a-long and activity-based learning to plant the seeds of Truth in the hearts of their young children.
As the children grow, they progress to the Kindy Department (4 to 7 years old) where they will independently attend worship, bible lessons and craft time. During this stage, they are introduced to Bible stories and simple biblical truths.
The Junior Department sees children from Primary 2 to 6 come together to learn about relationships, character-building, their identity in Christ and God’s love for them. Here, the children enjoy praise and worship, games, Bible teachings and cell group. Throughout the year, they will also get to participate in other programmes such as outings, camps and the children’s choir.
