What is the Gospel? Many of us will think of the gospels (the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) or that the gospel is simply summed up by the various formulae used in personal evangelism. But what is it, really?
We think we know what the Gospel is, but even the apostle Peter did not seem to get it right, leading Paul to publicly rebuke him (Galatians 2:11-14). Paul saw that it was necessary for him to deal with the subject “so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.” (Galatians 2:5).
What is this truth that is at the heart of the gospel? This two-session course will examine Paul’s answer to that question, and its relevance for today.
