The Human Longing for Home: Three Journeys Compared Odysseus, Abraham, and St Augustine each embody a distinct kind of journey. All three are driven by longing, yet the object of their longing reveals profound differences in how Greek and biblical Christian traditions understand the human heart.

In this talk, we will explore how these three journeys—rooted in the same fundamental restlessness—expose the limitations of Greek mythology and illuminate what truly satisfies the deeper spiritual hunger of the human person.
