我从来没有经历过严重病情。当我收到这个突如其来的诊断—第二期乳癌—我吓坏了。

神的话语是有生命的，又有功效的。记得第一次到医院复诊时，我的妹妹为我祷告，也带领我读圣经。当她打开手机上的圣经时，上帝就对我说话：

“我儿，不可忘记我的训诲，你的心要谨守我的诫命；因为它们必把长久的日子、生命的岁数和平安，加给你。” 箴言3:1-2

上帝要把 “长久的日子、生命的岁数和平安，加给你。” 我的妹妹惊讶地说：“快感谢上帝！上帝一定会医治你！”

这场重病虽然带来许多挑战，但我在整个过程中常常体验到神所赐，那出人意外的平安。感谢上帝的恩典！上帝一直用经文鼓励我。我对自己说：不用害怕，因为上帝与我同在！！我是蒙耶稣恩宠的。

从初期的诊断，到一系列的化疗、电疗、乳房切除手术，上帝一直都陪着我。我经历的副作用都很轻微。我还能照常生活。最挑战的时刻是在我身体开始衰弱，双脚无力的时候，我得靠轮椅行动。这在精神上很挑战。上帝看到我流的眼泪，知道我的心酸。上帝继续通过祂的话语鼓励我。

“你不要害怕，因为我与你同在； 不要惊惶，因为我是你的神。 我必坚固你，我必帮助你； 我必用我公义的右手扶持你。” 以赛亚书 41:10

高时敏牧师，林建成牧师，黄雅春传道，教会活石华语崇拜的组长和弟兄姐妹们都积极地为我祷告。这对我是极大的鼓励。感谢主，我每个主日还是可以到教会敬拜！

从初期的诊断到现在已经是一年半了。医生说我已经顺利完成了治疗，报告非常好。赞美主！药不必再服了，复诊也限于每年一次。上帝已医治了我！

今天我要见证上帝的信实。祂总不撇下我，也不丢弃我。神医好了我的第二期乳癌。整个治疗过程中，神每一步都陪我走。

一切荣耀归于主耶稣！

诗篇116:1 “我爱耶和华，因为他听了我的声音和我的恳求。2 他既向我侧耳，我一生要求告他。”

诗篇116:12 “我拿什么报答耶和华向我所赐的一切厚恩？13 我要举起救恩的杯， 称扬耶和华的名。”

 

Having never experienced medical issues all my life except for the occasional flu, the diagnosis of stage 2 breast cancer was a total bolt from the blue to me.

God’s Word is alive and active. I vividly remember my first medical appointment at the hospital. Whilst waiting at the reception area, my sister said a prayer for me and suggested that we read the Bible together. When she opened the Bible app on her handphone, God spoke to me through this verse:

“My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life. And peace they will add to you.” Proverbs 3:1-2

Reading this, my sister’s eyes widened in amazement. She exclaimed, “God is going to heal you! Let’s give thanks to God right now!”

Somehow, in the midst of this storm, I experienced God’s peace. – Just as it is said in the Bible – says, His peace that surpasses all understanding. This was only possible because of God’s grace.

God continued showing me Bible verses to encourage me throughout my treatment. I told myself: “God is with me, I need not fear! I am blessed!”

From the initial diagnosis, through chemotherapy, radiation treatment and breast removal surgery, God was with me through it all. Side effects were minimal, and I was able to carry on with my daily routine. The most challenging part of the treatment was the later stage. I became weak and needed a wheelchair to move around. This was emotionally challenging. God saw my tears. He knew my pain. He continued to encourage me through His Word.

‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’
Isaiah 41:10

Another source of encouragement for me was the prayers of Rev. Dr Kow Shih Ming, Rev. Jacob Lim, Mrs. Judith Chua (Mandarin Service) and our church brothers and sisters from the Living Stones Mandarin Service. Praise God, I was able to continue attending church!

It has been one and a half years, and I have successfully completed the treatment. Praise the Lord! My recent medical report indicates that all is well. No further treatments or medication is required. I am only required to go for my regular check-up once a year.

Today, I testify to God’s goodness. He never left me nor forsook me. God healed me of stage 2 breast cancer. God was with me every step of the way.
