PLMC is proud to present a talk by Asbury University’s Prof Robin Lim, who helped steward the 2023 Asbury Outpouring and has been sharing insights worldwide about the revival movement ever since.

About the Event

Across the world, there are growing signs of spiritual renewal. Reports of rising church engagement among Gen Z, increasing openness to Christianity among young adults, and movements such as the Asbury Outpouring have challenged the assumption that faith is in decline. In many regions, Christianity continues to grow, while a generation often described as secular is showing a surprising hunger for meaning, purpose, and God.

History shows that awakenings rarely remain within the walls of the church. They spill into society through transformed people who carry God’s presence into every sphere of culture. Again and again, marketplace leaders have played a pivotal role in translating spiritual renewal into lasting cultural impact through business, innovation, philanthropy, education, and institution-building.

This session explores the unique role of Christian marketplace leaders in moments of awakening, drawing from Scripture, revival history, and contemporary trends. What if the next great move of God is not only filling churches, but also commissioning leaders to faithfully shape culture, commerce, and society for His glory?

About Prof. Robin Lim

Prof. Robin Lim is an Australian-born pastor in the Chinese Methodist Church of Australia (CMCA) and a professor at Asbury University, where he teaches on the intersection of faith and business. He is also Co-Founder of The Liminal Group, a global movement dedicated to awakening, forming, and connecting marketplace leaders for kingdom impact. He is also an ordained Methodist

A former investment banker, entrepreneur, and marketplace preacher, Robin has spent more than two decades operating at the intersection of business, leadership, faith, and innovation. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Asbury Theological Seminary and is involved with global renewal movements, including 24-7 Prayer.

By God’s providence, Robin found himself unexpectedly positioned to be part of a small team of students, faculty, and ministry leaders who helped steward the 2023 Asbury Outpouring. What began as a routine chapel service became a sustained movement of prayer, worship, repentance, and spiritual renewal that touched millions around the world. Having witnessed firsthand the hunger for God that emerged during that season, Robin has since been invited to share globally on themes of spiritual awakening, revival, faith and work, and the role of marketplace leaders in helping carry renewal beyond the church walls and into every sphere of society.
